What headunit did my BRZ come with?
![]() Hello all, just wondering what headunit this is that I'm getting in my BRZ. Doesn't look like the USDM or Euro head units. I'm in Trinidad and Tobago (Caribbean). Bonus: if you want a real laugh ask me how much they cost here |

It's the typical head units Subaru gets. A friend purchased a brz in Jamaica and he has the exact same one. No worries. Just switch it out if you don't like. Any double din should work

Wonder why the Caribbean market gets stuck with the basic as hell head units when we probably pay the highest for the cars themselves.

Maybe they figured that if you live in a place where you cant drive more than 200km in any direction, then you didnt need a navigation system.

At least that looks 10 times better than the base scion ones over here. I still can't believe they shipped a car past year 2010 with such an abomination of a radio, no matter how much people claim it is made to be replaced.
Your radio doesn't take away your attention when looking at the interior like this thing does. I puke a little when I see it. ![]() 2012 Radio: ![]() 1970's Radio:

Funny how people say the Scion base head unit is good but not the speakers. I switched mine out for a JVC double din and it sounds 10X better. I am mature and really don't blast it much so the absence of a subwoofer is no biggie. For the record the 8 stock speakers sound great. And at one time I was into audiophile home sound equipment.
