Stop sale on FR-S
Found out through the grapevine today that there has been a stop sale on the FR-S because of an owner's manual mistake. Don't have details, but things should hopefully be back to normal with a quick sticker fix. Looks like a 24 hour delay on shipping cars to dealers, possibly.

Luckily I moved all of my orders Yesterday! =P
It's likely something very simply. That would explain why the owner's manual I ordered about a month ago hasn't arrived yet. |

When you say you moved them, does that mean cars were delivered to buyers? I thought that couldn't happen until the 1st?

Stop sale for manual change? Hm. For my BRZ the dealer sent me a PDF with a few corrected pages after I got it.

This showed up in the Canadian threads late last week as well. Not sure what the change is, but that seemed to be the cause. Haven't caught up on it today.

A lot of us up here in Canada have been effected by this. We also heard about this last week but didn't think it applied to the US. I have personally been trying to find out when my FR-S will be here. They told me this week but now they're thinking it might be next week due to the delay.
We were thinking this was something to do with the fact that we need both french and english versions. But apparently this is now effecting everyone. bneale |

Well, in the PDF I got most changes were in the SRS section (in which case it would make sense to stop sales for legal reasons I suppose). Nothing of note in the other sections.
I attach it, if anyone is interested. You're gonna have to compare to the original manual though, cause the one on subaru.com already has these incorporated, I think. |

This happened a while back in regards to Sienna's and other SUV's owner's manuals. We corrected at our dealer in about three days it wasn't a major issue. Not to worry my friends. Toyota/Scion/Subaru won't let something like this hold back its new hot car for to long!

No I just talked to my dealer who sent a message to the regional rep. They were held until today for the launch. They will be hitting dealers any time from today forward.

funny how they still haven't changed the part where you shouldn't drive over 30 mph with snow tires (page 226).

Their lawyers seem to write about half the manual.

Depends on the region I think. Officially June 1, but some areas released already since it's fair game once dealers have inventory. Other dealers received their vehicles a few days before we did. Our stock arrived Monday morning (or Sunday late night).

Grrrr. I was told that cars were released on Saturday, but they never made it on the truck before the stop order was placed this morning. Pretty frustrating.
