Still, fourteen.
I had no idea the Audi TT sold that miserably in the US. If anything, journalists should be writing articles about that.

I hate that argument, because it just reminds me how ignorant most people are.

Feel better after calling lots of good people ignorant and stupid?

Someone can be a good person and still be stupid; the two aren't mutually exclusive. And no, I don't feel better, because it didn't fix their ignorance.

Some are marketers and some others understand marketing. Some however, sadly are not and do not.

Cheers

Doesn't make it any less true. I see it all the time. Look at Apple. I've heard several times "I don't know what the Apple watch does, but OMG I need it!" Brand loyalty right there. Sigh.

On a related note, how many times have you heard a family member/friend say "I had a <insert car brand here> and I'll never buy one again"? Totally grates on me, but what can you do? I gave up arguing with my mom on Fords (She owned an 80s Tempo. Just about the only other Ford comparable to the Pinto...). They could be making cars more reliable than Honda right now, and she wouldn't even test drive it.

Back on topic, sorta: Who else thinks Mazda has some of the best commercials? I still find the MX5 to be slightly goofy looking, but it sure looks like fun.

The "Halo" car concept for each manufacturer has that very strategy at it's core. Without it, cars like the Corvette, LFA, RX-7, Ford GT, Viper and many others would not exist.

It makes just as much, if not more, sense than the "Race of Sunday, sell on Monday" mantra. How many race cars bear any similarity to a car you can walk in and buy?

ND MX-5s are now landing on US shores. In a few more days or weeks, they will be hitting the streets in numbers.

Who will be the first to have a new MIata rev on him/her at a light?

Oh, I know it works. I'm just disappointed that it works. If you're looking for a good, reliable economy car, the super flashy awesome monster hyper car made by the same company shouldn't even enter into the decision-making process.
