correct. nelson's is setup where the novice group (group C usually) would have classroom time while group A and then B are on track, then you go on track and then start that process all over again for 5-6 times. last time i was there, there was only 1 instructor.

Do you have to pay extra for the classes?

FYI all - August 8th is the date I'm organzing a few Cleveland area buddies to go to Nelson Ledge's. Hope to see some of you there.

Does anyone have a spare helmet a friend of mine can borrow (if you're coming)?

I figured it would be fun to do a track day, but for $165? I'd rather spend that on car parts...

Jay I've never done one in a car but after doing a couple on the motorcycle for around $200/pop I will say it's well worth it. You will get way more out of your driving skill increase from $165 than you will for any parts. That is cheap.

$165 is expensive? Nelson ledges is actually on the cheap side.
Slipdog is right, driver mod is worth a lot more than car mod
Most track days(HPDE) run you $400-$500
Now, that all depends on what you'd rather do. Spend money on awesome upgrades or spend money on learning how to use those awesome upgrades?
To each his own

yeah there's definitely no cheaper way to get on track than nelson ledges. it's far from the greatest track in the world but it's still a road course to have fun on and learn a lot. i was at mid-ohio a couple weeks back for $250 at that was super cheap for that great track.

what car part for $165 can equal driving your car at 10/10s from 8am-4pm?

You guys make a good point, it would be awesome and I did spend more than that on a shift knob and reverse lockout. I wasn't saying that specific track was expensive, I was just saying that I've never done a track day before, so I had no idea how much it would cost.
