Ohio Track Day - Nelson's Ledges 2015
 

Hello all!
This year's calendar and tickets are available for track days and I'm trying to see who would be interested and/or which date(s) is preferred.

I left a voicemail with Moto Series (new management I believe) for possible discount pricing on group-buys or purchase of tickets for multiple track day dates.

I understand a SE Ohio drive isn't happening this summer, and there's only so much to do at Cars & Coffee..

Anyone feel free to add input or create a poll thread on dates if this gets enough attention. I'm open to just about every date listed, especially the Friday's where track traffic is less of an issue.

In parallel, I'm working withe fellow colleagues and friends who don't own a twin but who would be interested in attending.

Only downside is that prices increased almost $50 since last time I was there :(

a few 86's have signed up for the itrexpo in the beginning of summer at gingerman!

I just see the one in September for Ginger. Is that a single day event or a weekend thing?

its a 3 day event for $350 (which is a steal)!

I dont think I can make it that weekend, But Im planning on going to Auto Interest's Mid-Ohio track day on July 17

Also, a SE Ohio drive can still happen, just depends on if someone is willing to pick a weekend and just go.
A buddy and I went down and did a little cruise. Went back and forth on a section of 555 a few times, So if someone just picks a weekend I'd be down. Ill probably do another one with him again sometime soon.

hi CC - what weekend were you referring too? Nelson's has multiple weekend options available. i'm particularly interested in July 4th, August 8th or 29th.

I was talking about the Gingerman weekend, sorry. That Sept 5 weekend.
I am going to Mid-Ohio on the 17th of July. Ill pay for it sometime in the next two days. Maybe a 555 cruise the next day(Sat. 18th)?

Based on all the available Nelson Ledges's track days, August 8th is the one I'll be tracking too. See if that works for you and if any buddies can join. $165 for the day (ticket purchased online 7+ days in advance).

The 18th doesn't work for me for the 555 cruise. Possibly 7/11, 7/25, 8/1...?

The 8th may be something I can work with, but I will have to make sure I don't have any family obligations that weekend.

Late july may work for me for 555, but I can't commit to anything at this point.

Possibly--I usually have other plans, but they may not happen this weekend. Weather is looking nice!

Hey question, do you have to have a racing license of some sort to track on a track day? I've never tracked before but it sure would be a lot of fun, I just don't want to pay to take a racing class.

you don't need a license but if you've never done it before you will be in HPDE1 which you have to have an instructor ride with you and probably some sort of classroom after each session.
