Install went without a hiccup. Slid on slid off. Sound is not much louder than stock, I kept the stock overpipe and front pipe on.

I'll give it a couple days but overall I'm pleased.

here's the merge collector from my tomei uel

If you are going to try build NA power, especially on a small engine, where gains are measured in single digits or fractions thereof, something small like a properly constructed collector is even more important, not less.

Do it right or don't do it.
well considering i've seen the dyno results from OFH/OFT and the torque dip is still very much present, i'm going to guess you'll notice it most where people bitch the most about the cars power band.

How's the bolt access for the head x header portion? Some of the aftermarket headers are absolutely horrible for this.

It looks a bit less "UEL" than the OFH; very curious to hear how it sounds!

Will get a video tomorrow. Definitely not loud, has the rumble I wanted. Might look at a front pipe with a resonator to get some extra volume while eliminating the last cat.

Only the middle stud on drivers side manifold is difficult (if you don't have a flex in your rachet) the rest were super easy with a 6 inch extension.

Install was a piece of cake. Took longer getting the underpanel off.

The pictures of those <cough> collectors are just sad. The reentrant turbulence caused by those protruding pipes would be significant. Sharp edges and bends all rob power. The pros go to great length to ensure a perfect match between the exhaust port and intake manifold, including the gasket itself. A well designed/manufactured collector is crucial.

It's disappointing to see what's being passed off as an "upgrade." As always, caveat emptor.

How much collectors impact header performance is yet to be measured. Or you have some data of _exactly_ the same header with only difference of different collector? It might aswell be difference of just 0.5hp, more then worth not to do it for vendor/manufacturer, if it costs extra 50-100$ in end price. Until singled out just different collector designs get tested/compared, i wouldn't blindly bash this design bit in cheaper headers.

At least it all lined up. Cheap stuff tends to not slide right on like that so that's a plus.
