Of course everyone can poke fun, but we do need to lighten up a bit. If anything I feel bad for people who are trapped their whole lives.

Imagine if you were forced to drive an automatic everyday? I would long for the day to jump in and row some gears and hit that clutch pedal.

On another note, it is sad that he/she gets publicity for being so famous. I'm sure there are a lot of other stories like this out there.

True story. Anything you post on the internet is fair game to anyone.

If she truly wanted to avoid any sort of ridicule she should not have posed for magazines and kept everything private.

And how can a Surgeon justify performing that surgery after taking the hippocratic Oath?
It must be some stretch to convince yourself that cutting off someones genitals and replacing them with the opposite gender is "in the best interest of the individual". And "shall not cause harm".

Some individuals contemplate or follow through with suicide because they feel they are in the wrong body. It is certainly better the lives of those people. I dont think anyone takes this lightly.
