No that's not correct, to start with women are generally much less physically strong than men and would be at great disadvantage in most sports.

But that doesn't even matter as she was born and matured as a man. She was a "woman trapped in a man's body". If she was physically a woman this whole time there would be no story, she would just be a woman.
