I can appreciate the work for sure. You put some real time and consideration into it. Having the roof and back window flow into the trunk lid is really interesting. It gives it a fastback look reminiscent of the fifth/sixth gen Celica.

My only personal critique is the front lip, but it's not just yours specifically. One of the things I like about the FR-S lip are the "fangs". Many of the kits really seem to absorb them and yours does away with them altogether which isn't my cup of tea.

Still, the only measure of success is whether you come outside and just stop and look and it sounds like that's the case. Congrats!

I can see that you have put a lot of work into this build to achieve your dream. IMO it looks better and makes at least as much functional sense as any rocket bunny. Plus I am betting it adds a lot less weight. I does remind me a bit of the Datsun 240Z with the bolt on flares. If that is the look you were chasing then you nailed it.

Well, actually, a real widebody would let him shove his wheels under the fenders properly. Since they would have made the fender significantly wider. Something like 60mm front and rear.

I can appreciate the work that went into this build. But since you're going for a track build, wouldn't it have been a better choice with a square wheel setup?

I can't imagine the awful understeer you would get with this staggered setup. Not to mention 285 tire is overkill for stock power unless you're running boost.

I DO like that re-worked front bumper.

...that's all I'm going to say...

As a former body man and painter I give you a thumbs up on the work. I like it, ultimately as long as you like in the end that is all that matters.

As idiotic as I think a full RB looks, at least it's complete and fits. I think you win for the oddest proportions yet. Your car has a very subtle wrongness I've not seen anywhere else.

But the rocket bunny exposes the front of the tire which creates just as much drag as this design does. It does not matter if you enclose the top side of the tire. Both flares are doing that. The rb is a form over function design which is only suitable for drift where speed and drag is not much of a factor. The rb also uses a lot more material so they are heavier.

I also prefer this look over the rb. Of course, looks are just a matter of opinion.

Well I only live about a 1/2 hour north of you now so if you want to see it then you can do so in person, LOL. So as not to take this thread off topic just send me a PM.

As long as it makes you happy, that's what counts.

My opinion...looks better than a RB, and my eyes thank you for not sticking a big giant wing on it. Yes, the wheels/tires are a little sticky-outy, I don't care for the (diffuser?) treatment on the roof, and I couldn't bear cutting my car for the flares, but that's just me. It kind of reminds me of early IMSA cars. The red and black work well together, the block off plate for the right exhaust cutout is cool, and the front bumper looks good as well.

Don't put a big wing on it...
