6'6" 38" inseam and have driven my FR-S since November 2012. It fits tall people with long legs.

I don't doubt that at all. I'd find it hard to believe that he couldn't fit comfortably. I've seen much bigger in much smaller (whether they were comphy is unknown)
I've heard nothing but good about the comfort level...for the front seats

I drive a 14 challenger RT with the 5.7 hemi, but I must say, a secret love of mines is definitely the Twins, more specifically, the FR-S. Yes, I know, what a contrast of styles huh lol. I honestly just love the styling and handling of these cars! I test drove and was ready to trade my daily driver 07 Dodge Caliber sxt in for a 15 Scior FR-S release series 1.0, #596 of 1500, but unfortunately, after sitting and test driving one, it just wasn't enough leg room for my 34" inseam. My knee was sitting at the bottom of the steering wheel. But man, I wanted that car!! s

I had a 1994 4th-gen Z28 (with the 5.7 liter LT1 engine) for years and loved that car. There's nothing wrong with American muscle, and that particular car handled well and it looked great (I hate the faux-retro styling of the current Camaros). Fuel economy wasn't even that bad - I averaged over 24MPG the whole time I had it. I only got rid of The Z28 because, despite the awesomeness of the powertrain, the electrics sucked, repair bills were high, and at that point in my life, I needed more space (it was replaced with a Nissan Xterra that I've owned for almost 15 years now).

Now I have an FR-S (in addition to that Xterra) and love it. It's a different kind of performance car in theory, but equally fun. Much is said about the FR-S's power (or lack thereof), but in all practical motoring, there's not a dime's worth of difference in acceleration between it and that 4th-gen Z28.

By the way, I have a 34" inseam and tall torso, and have no problem fitting comfortably in the FR-S. Did you by chance have the steering wheel adjusted properly (it both tilts and telescopes)?
