I was thinking more of stock springs with dampening adjustable shocks (which can cost as much as some coilovers). That way you retain factory height, but can adjust how firm or soft you want the dampers to be.

And two different camps for car modifications. Different strokes for different folks.

Just went though the thread, this looks really good. Really interested in Both Flex Z & A now. Might be just what I'm looking for.

but you think that almost 3" of wheel gap isn't silly???

Looks like you're going to go 4 bying to me....

Yes, i do NOT think that gap is silly and never could understand why some might rise fuss about or from where that fashion started to appear and on what arguments it's based. "Less insane compromise hellaflush version"? I even like looks of proportional even gap all around the tire with same gap on top as on sides. To eliminate those gaps as-well one needs to up tire radius by those inches, adding in process of doing so lot of weight, killing acceleration (unless accompanied by different ratio final drive install) and tire rubbing on arc insides. Should come with sticker "i paid a lot to make slower and uglier then stock".

yeah, umm no... one, it's than, not then and yes I understand your first language probably isn't english, that's why I'm informing you of that. Than is a comparison, then is related to time difference.

Second, there are many larger wheels that weigh the same or less than the smaller oem stock wheels and lowering the car an inch or so actually can improve driving feel and performance which many are trying to do.

I agree that the hella flush crap with crazy camber is ridiculous and degrades performance, but saying the stock ride height and wheel fitment is perfect is insane to me.

To each his own I guess, but NOT when it comes to performance and a little lower IS better in that regard...

Will provide pics and impressions soon. My rear bumper is getting repainted due to a hit-and-run so I haven't taken the FRS out much.

They show good stock but they aren't listed on anything i found yet here. Trying to decide between the ST, Bilstein B14 and these for a daily driver that won't be slammed. My last springs were H techs and had almost enough drop for me.

Received my coils on Friday, got them installed yesterday.

Here's my initial review,

I installed the coilovers with the preloaded ride height and set each corner to full stiffness.

Things I've noticed:
- At full stiffness, the ride felt similar to stock maybe even less bumpy and rough.
- When accelerating, the car feels really stable, less body weight shift from front to rear, turning in on corners felt sharper and car felt pretty level.

Overall, pretty happy with them, will take it out for some cruising later and take some more pics.

Here's a couple shots I took on my phone right after installation and driving around the block. Will be waiting a couple weeks to see if they settle lower some more, before adjusting the ride height.

Any word on what these will cost when they get to the states? Will the price remain the same, low $700s?

Looks awesome @brz604. I just installed progress auto sway bars with my flex z coil overs and it just feels awesome through the corners.

Hmm, at stiffest level similar to stock. Not sure i'd like that. Then other end of spectrum is not sportier but rather lexus/boat mode. Would rather prefer stock suspension matching some middle level or 1/3rd from softest coilover settings, so that if wished one can dial in both stiffer for track days or slightly softer for daily driving.

I wouldn't really agree with that statement. At full stiff it's very stiff and definitely noticeably stiffer than stock.
