Try the Gates belt app, it might help. The frequency you need is in the set of directions for the kit.

They should get rid of the 21mm instruction in the manual. I installed mine that way and it was way too tight.
I really wished they put a spring loaded tensioner to rid of all the guess work. Another issue I had was the pulley came installed on the blower unit but the bolts were semi tight (checked quickly by a small hex key). I was stupid and assumed they were torqued/loc-tite by KW. Pulley fell off 3000km later and luckly only broke the belt and scratched things up. They should have just left the pulley off or torqued them. Either way, KW has good customer service. They replaced my pulleys, belt and fluid for free. |

That app never gave me any constant numbers. I gave up after it kept giving me random frequencies. I just kept adjusting it till I saw minimum belt slap. Still whines a tiny amount at idle and definitely audible at any speed above idle.

a whine at idle would mean the belt is too loose/tight? i have a whine at idle which gets louder at the rpms climb. ive been messing around with the belt the last few days trying to find the sweet spot.
