We are still deciphering through the data to ensure everything was tested correctly but the big thing is the LCA, adjuster, and rod end all made it to 50,000 cycles at a very large bump load . Not only that, but being loaded 10 times per second!

To re-iterate what has been said before, the bump load we are and have been testing at are for those FR-S/BRZs that are at the race car level. These are loads beyond what ~95% of the customer base will likely ever see. Think 12kg/mm (762lb/in) + springs that are under *severe* compression to achieve these loads. That or pulling a Furious 7 move and jumping out of a plane .

I know it's hard to comprehend what a 4G bump load is because I have a hard time quantifying it. So if I can explain it in another fashion, please let me know and I will work on quantifying it in that fashion.

Here's a few of the adjustment pieces we broke on our test bench.

We are finalizing logistics on a few things yet which is where the hold up is. Probably a few months out on a production order fulfillment but we are moving forward with the design and production once a few things are cleared up.

We also tested the OEM unit which proved to be strong like originally thought. We did not measure any strain (out of gauges) but physically it withstood the same tests as our LCA.

It hasn't... but we have been faced with multiple set-backs, primarily with pricing issues. This is due to using United States machine companies as well as a superior aluminum to 6061-T6; which all of the other units on the market use.

We are going to try to do a limited run build I think.

Cant have quality without price, and anyone who understands R&D and the materials used will understand and appreciate the price, as long as its not like $1500

It's nowhere near that. We posted up a feeler on both social media accounts we use (Facebook and Instagram) and got some positive, but mostly negative feedback on the pricing.

We were thinking of doing a single group buy to get them out there and then come up with a more cost effective (but heavier) design. We don't want to abandon the design without at least trying a group buy though as a lot of effort went into them haha.

I would even suggest the likes of element tuning and CSG to get their hands on a set for the abuse they are meant for.

Does the design lend itself to requiring high quality material or would it be as simple as using a different material and literally the same design?

It's already been considered but that doesn't change the fact that people don't want to pay over X amount while other options out there exist for less. Even if it was used on a NASA space shuttle, if it's too much it's too much for that customer. It's been a large internal struggle because we could get it made overseas for less, but we're trying to keep things here, in the states.

what about 6061 T651? or T89? both have a higher shear strength yield and ultimate tensile strength than T6, and roughly the same cost not looking for aircraft aluminum, because need money for other mods lol

edit; any metallurgists can chime in and correct me if my alloy's wouldn't work for LCA stress applications.
