I have so much fun on the C30 and stock pulley, I can't even imagine the bigger blower.

The C30 is the sweet spot for stock internals and a daily driver I think. It sits right below the need for a new clutch, injectors, and all that jazz on 93 octane. E85 is a different story though. The stock injectors are probably pushed to their limits at high rpms on 93 octane so I would probably upgrade those, but I'll let someone who tunes make that decision.

The C38 is for crazy people, lol.

C38 is fine with proper tuning. Nice thing with it is that there is almost no boost below 3k. This I feel puts much less wear and tear on the motor for this of us that are daily drivers.

We've done several c38's with and without the high boost pulley. Our sprintex 335 kit runs 19 psi starting from 4000 rpm (vs 6500 on the c38 KW kit). Some motors are weaker than others, sometimes you can employ tuning strategies to keep it together longer. Either way after hitting 427 on a stock motor with just 12-13 psi on a turbo today, I wouldn't let a single case get in the way of enjoying the high boost.

I've had my c38 kit since January and it has been nothing, but fantastic.
Great job from Moto-East. They've both my stock c38 tune and tune with injectors.
I'm going to be getting a high boost pulley set up soon, but going to be getting
a stroker kit as well. Hopefully that'll be enough for the added boost.

Hello fellow KW owners. Can someone take a peak at my datalog? I am currently working with Moto-East on a tune and this is the second revision. Mike has been good and been sending updates. I just want to see if my car is safe to drive in the mean time before he sends me the third revision. Since its the weekend, I probably wont hear from him till Monday.

Anyways, here is the datalog:

http://www.datazap.me/u/projek01/3rd...-cruise-111kmh

With my limited experience with tuning, I am worred about the fairly high fuel trim numbers and fairly consistant knock learn numbers.

Thanks for the help!

The "C38 is crazy and requires a built motor" argument doesn't really held any water. How many C38 owners running safely on stock motor and injectors or E85 plus a stock clutch will it take to change that mentality?

I'm probably biased because I've run the C38 and C30 on 91 and E85, but the latter is very noticeably slower. The C38 scared passengers and blew the doors off of RS5's, new M6's, etc. without flinching. The C30 on the otherhand, barely impresses. Again, maybe thats because I already experienced the other side, which skews my perspective. And some of that may be attributable to tune as well.

If you are buying an OTS from a tuner anyway, (because you don't need CARB where you are) then why not spend the extra $300 for more power everywhere? Perhaps later spending another $300 and switching to larger injectors for E85 and monstrous power? Seems like a no brainer.

@SPCorBUST -- out of curiosity, given your words in favor of the C38 blower, why did you choose the C30 JR kit that you currently have? (according to your signature)

Mostly CARB. After owning both kits though, I'd prefer a mix of the two, and have been thinking about if that could happen. Each kit has its virtues.
