I was just pointing out that by his criteria "dollar for dollar and fun for fun" the Corvette wins. Nowhere did it mention having an attractive interior.

I agree with you on the interior, though the upgraded C6 interior was adequate. And the C7 actually does have a nice interior. (granted I know we're talking about old used Vettes).

I wasn't trying to imply that anyone say anything about the interior. simply offering my opinion on the vehicle.

I used to have a VR4 3000GT and it seemed like everyone that dumped their VR4 did it for a C5 Vette. it's like it's the I give up just give me a V8 that goes RAWR car. I donno.
You've never gotten into a new C7 vette then.

I shared your thoughts about a vette until this new one came out.
Now I bought one and can say without a doubt the interior is top notch.

no I have not. about the only domestic that I've been in recently which I liked the interior was a 2015 GMC Denali or whatever loaded out super truck. Wish I could remember what it was.

It's low popularity and the preference for tuning the lighter civics and integras eventually lead to the end of the prelude.
Prelude was more expensive than Integra and Civic (I think cost was more of an issue than weight in terms of popularity), and it always had some expensive high tech stuff like mechanical 4WS and later ATTS. I think the original intent for the Prelude was to be a good handling GT car.

I think the real sporty option for people who couldn't afford the NSX was actually the Honda Beat (they both came out at the same time, both midship RWD, check out their door designs they look almost exactly the same on purpose). It's also no surprise that the Beat successor S660 is coming out at the same time as the new NSX.
