I remember seeing pricing on a thread here somewhere. It was VERY expensive, I think almost 2 grand?

Post got deleted, really? Fine. Love that Prova muffler. dislike the diffuser. Make a center exit that looks a little more OEM and I'm sold.

I have, not a fan. And I think having a single exit exhaust when the car has cutouts in the bumper for dual exhaust tips just looks silly to me.

Love this video and pretty informative. I can tell the disappointment and sadness from the tone of his voice :P

Pretty good. Btw what did you mean by the discoloration on the header? I know basically all stainless steel headers will get that rainbow/discoloration. Or at least even on the very high quality ones that I've seen

HKS does not outsource to China

There's two discolourations. The normal steel heat cycle 'rainbow' colours (staw, blue, purple) that is visible on the back of the flange.

Then the horrible brown on the primary tubes. The primaries are non magnetic, and should be a 300-series (like the claimed 304) stainless. But the discolouration comes out brown. This is similar to what happens with sterling silver that is heated for soldering. The copper in the sterling really likes to react with oxygen in the air and creates what they call 'firestain' that they have to remove with an acid 'pickle'. Something similar is happening here, because of the chrome-plating of the header needs a copper base layer.

There is no reason for quality all stainless headers to be chrome plated. On these (and other) shitty ones, the chrome plating is to hide the fact that the don't use 304 on the flanges, and to allow for a second TIG pass to create less ugly looking beads when they go over them twice, to hide the too-hot, too-fast base MIG welds.

Thanks for the info. I guess that's another reason to pay the extra $ for a better quality construction from reputable brands.

Btw this was posted awhile back on there blog but I think Saclam is stirring up something for the 86. They make the best sounding exhausts IMO.

Example of there S2000 exhaust

Me personally? I'm impatiently waiting on Fujitsubo to release their full titanium single exit exhaust. Should be around 8-10 pounds, & only one resonator.

Yeah the 350 sounds great. I know saclam is a niche market company but I hope we can get something great from them for the FRS/BRZ.

Now I have to start saving up. Either Saclam, HKS, Amuse, Fujitsubo or possibly Mine's might make me broke :P

Looks like a Nameless Performance customer took delivery of their BRZ and took it right over to the shop!

"Version 1 of our track single exit axleback muffler delete for the Subaru BRZ and Scion FRS. This and the dual axleback will have many tip options, etc. A note, this video was taken in a closed shop, and it's a cold start. It just purrs at idle once the warmup high idle drops. Zero drone. More to come."
