Hopefully my replacement kit will be arriving this week. Who else purchased the 335?

Would FBM's 2.19L stage 3 motor net any gains with this blower over a standard 2.0 built engine?

I'd guess yes as you've added 0.2 litres of displacement

There isn't much empirical data for this motor, but if you look at the honda motors (B series, F series in particular), increases in displacement in combination with FI with all other things equal (intake, exhaust, power adder) resulted in proportional increases in hp. That is a 10% bump in displacement gave a 10% bump in power.

If I wanted to prep my engine for this blower with new internals, what would I be looking at? Forged pistons and rods? Or is it more than that? Assuming I want to hit the 350-400hp range without having to worry that I'll be walking home...

Cooling is another factor to consider

Yeah but I can watch the water & oil temp and it doesn't happen that fast. If I'm about to bend or break a connecting rod, there's no warning, just BAM! (what the heck was that, and why is my engine on fire?!)

A little update as we're well into spring.

We've logged about 4500 miles or so on the car since the install now. Maybe 3000 of them on e85, don't really keep track but it does get used with pump gas and really not a problem there. Substantially faster than a 210 kit.

For those in the northeast or planning to come out to the wicked big meet, you should be able to see our car there if everything goes to plan.

We also put it back on the dyno today with a cheap header (press bent runners, no true merge...temporary unit) and we still manged to increase power and torque. Today's dyno showed 290 torque and 335 to the wheels (odd coincidence...). Stock cat back is on the car still. Tomorrow we have another 335 car that will be going on the rollers with a full exhaust and a Tomei EL header. Hopefully we'll get some higher numbers there.

Obligatory what fuel were you using? Also, what size pulley are you running these days?

Thanks for keeping us updated.
