Haven't checked this forum in a while, but for out the door pricing I did not get charged any additional fees on my FRS preorder (Bel-Air Toyota) but I did on the BRZ preorder (about $500 I think, at Otto's Subaru). I asked the Scion dealer over the phone and he said if people ask specifically to have it removed we usually do (and he did) while Subaru was adamant that they always charge their security and admin fees and if they dont then it deducted from the price of the vehicle which I'm pretty sure is bs. Anyways, just my personal experiences. Worth noting also that all other Scion dealers in ottawa told me they charged fees when I called them except for bel-air.

Note: This is in Ottawa but I assume it should be the same everywhere in Canada.

If by fees you mean the administration fees no one should be paying for it. It says right on the scion canada website that admin fees are included in the msrp

I will be competing in the VCMC events as soon as the car gets here and whenever I can complete the engine break in.

Ben

Next week? Prefect, my civic is starting to need repairs

I thought Edmonton didn't have any Provincial tax. Why is it so expensive?

What's the official breakin? 1500km? I know it will be way past that before the engine fully loosens up, but from an it's OK to cane it POV

Do two laps of this and you'll have the km's done and have spent most of it on windy roads: https://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sou...e=UTF8&t=m&z=8
You can take care of that in a weekend

Engine break in should be 1600kms from what I read in the BRZ book. Must keep the RPM's below 4000 for that length of time. I plan on doing that followed by an early oil change around 5000 kms.

Vancouver to Osoyoos is crazy far. It's also a lot of really twisty roads through the mountians. I actually had an ex come from Grand Forks and we drove there once. It took like 6 hours to drive there 1 way and we were hustling the car. So I doubt I can do the entire trip in 1 week end.

Good idea. But instead of this, I'm planning a trip to my vacation house on the sunshine coast. Lot's of roads to rip around up there.
