Thank you everyone.
Am going to touch up the black marks and then try to buff it out. This car is just not worth paying upto $1000 to fix that for me. Will just treat it as a battlescar, though there was no battle. So mad at myself ![]() Thats what rushing does, learned my lesson. Guys whatever you do, don't rush.

I was backing into the driveway, thought car was straight and scraped on the side a little. I stopped instantly, but the damage was done.

if you think about it, the labor and skill that goes in to repairing paint damage like the one in the link you posted, is basically what you're paying for when you go to a body shop.
it's like most anything related to modding your car. you know how to do it with the right tools, then it'll cost you less money but way more time and labor. if you don't know how to do it, then you pay someone else for their time and labor. either way, someone is paying whether it be by time and/or money.

my audi got its bumper painted for $250 lifetime warranty about 5 years ago and its still holding up. you can buff it to minimize the size but you will still see where it went pass the primer. You can use touch up paint to cover that up but if you are expecting "like new" result, its not gonna happen, sorry. I wouldn't recommend spraying it yourself if you don't know what you are doing or its your first time. Usually if you are going to paint something on the car, you paint the whole piece for an even coat. Good luck

Go get some estimates maybe you'll find someone who does it for $200-300 .. It's not that bad.

doubtful that anyone "cheap" will be able to match whiteout that well.
Hell, even the expensive guys have trouble with whiteout... Live with scar,or pay up for fix. Def sucks! |
