Mine lowballed me on my tC as well. I said no thanks, and guess what, I got a call this morning to bring my car back I so the general mgr van look at it and possibly give me a better offer. I still havent decided if I'm going to do it as I have to put the stock stereo & speakers back in (a good half day) for the GM to look at it.

If it were me, I'd put the stock parts in a box so you have them, tell him if they give you your price you'll put them back in, and leave it at that. They can still refuse it if you don't so a "reasonable" dealer should be OK with that. yea, I know "reasonable" and "dealer" should never be used in the same sentence.

I'd already told them I would put it back to stock if I got the car...IDK, I've already bought new A-pillars for it, so I may as well do. If nothing else it would give me an excuse to redo my system if they don't step up.

I guess I've been lucky that my dealership has not been trying to up-sell me on anything. They've been non-committal on pricing saying they'll charge me whatever Scion says they need to since my car will be equipped exactly as I asked *Scion* (not the dealer) to equip it.

But on-topic, the owner of my dealership did ask me for shirt and hat size in the letter they sent me w/ my delivery date.

Are black cars really that hard to maintain? Out of curiosity. I was planning to get the black colored FR-S next year but not might go with Asphalt if that's the case.

Interesting, im also trading in my Tc (2010 with 26,000 miles) only owe about 12,000... dealer only wanted to give me 10,000 for it because its painted a customers Gun metal... I told him that it was a D*ck slap in the face to me. Lol 5 minutes later he offered to just pay it off. When I go pick up the car im going to try and get more if I can. Regardless im still getting the Fr-s WAY better APR

I had 3 cars that are black and it was a pain to keep clean. Black cars in general show every blemish, dirt, and flaw. They are also hard to take pictures, because it hard for the photographer to show body lines. But when the paint clean, the paint is very rewarding.

I see you're also from NY. I'm up north in Syracuse though, it's probably worse up here. Most days here are cloudy with a chance of rain or snow. It's miserable, and trying to keep a dark colored car looking good is a huge PITA. I will definitely get a light colored car my next go around.
