I did try to look for them but not having any luck. I did contact them. Didnt know its the same as audi's. Care to share that link so I could just buy it for cheaper than $30ea.

well actually... I've got a rattle from the left rear now when I go over small bumps.
It sounds like something is loose. I retorqued the upper mounting bolts and the centre nut that holds the shock together, but still rattling. Guess I'll be taking the wheel off this weekend to get a better look.

[edit] All good now. Loosened all bolts on LCA, jacked up hub until drive axle was parallel to the ground (as per the directions in the repair manual), re-tightened bolts. Noise gone.

My bad. My J looked like a 5, fixed the part number above. The rears are harder to source, but just cut the stocks, you can cut the fronts as well, or buy them online. & They're for the Golf IV, not the A4. Lysdexia strikes again.
