I mainly use the e-brake to keep the car flat and not illuminate the brake lights when I see a cop.

Looks like those ebrake shoes are something like $70 a side - was it a huge pain getting that rotor off? If not that seems like a pretty acceptable consumable for sideways games, and makes handbrake abuse look a lot more attractive than clutch abuse.

In America we drive on Parkway's and park on Driveway's. So why not use the PARKING brake for the purpose it wasn't designed for. If things start breaking in the brake system you only have yourself to blame. Since I'm getting a manual FR-S I will use the parking brake for it's most reliable and designed purpose...PARKING

Shoes for both sides in the rear were about $90 including tax. After I was shown how to remove the rotor, the parking shoes were easily accessible. Then you just use needle nose pliers to remove and replace. It took me 2 hrs and you need another person bc the springs are a bitch. 2nd rotor was a lot easier.
