When it comes to tinting I don't think twice about going to AutoLinks. John and crew have their craft nailed and the job is flawless every time I have taken my cars to them. They usually have a discount for car clubs as well so it doesn't hurt to ask.

Call Norb at Carbox... mine was around $200 with a lifetime warranty on film and labour, but that was over two years ago so prices may be different now.

I have experiences with Auto Links and Audio Heaven for the BRZ.
My preference is Auto Links even though they were much more expensive. The main reason is the pattern they had for cutting the tint. On the rear window, they cut the pattern in a way that looks very clean. The edges of the BRZ's rear window is not flat and has tiny ridges or dots. With Audio Heaven, their rear window and rear quarter patterns seems to be slightly different and because their pattern extends to this dot line the edges don't look clean to me. The edges look like there are tiny air bubbles around the edges which personally bothers me. That said, this is my personal experience and preference. |

So I just ordered my BRZ yesterday. I didn't get Subaru to tint it for me because it'd cost 500$. But the thing is, I leased my BRZ for 2 years, but I'm under the assumption that i'll buy it after 2 years. They said if I tint it outside of the dealership, and if I decide not to keep the brz after 2 years, Toyota MAY ask me to remove the tint myself if it isn't a "good job"
So, my question is, is this just a money making method for me to buy their overpriced tint? Also, I'm in Markham, whats a really good tinting place and for how much? Preferably under 500$ because then I could of just gotten it from Subaru. Thanks EDIT: Sorry for bumping an old thread. |

The Pinnacle series is worth the $350 then is what your saying? Looking for a good place to take my brz, don't mind spending it if its really as good as you guys are saying. Just would like to know what the difference is when paying $350 vs $180-200 at other shops?

The quality of the film and the installation. Pinnacle wont fade, wont interfere with cell signals, blocks heat, not just light. Autolinks gives you a lifetime warranty if I recall. I actually brought my car back a year or two later with film slightly separating on the passenger window edge and they replaced no charge.
Not sure how the cheap stuff holds up, have Pinnacle on both my cars. Theres a place on Nantucket (Scarborough) that did my other car very nicely and they are probably the most reputable. Either company good IMHO.

Mine was tinted just over 3 years ago at CarBox, and still looks like it did when it was first done. No film separating, or anything else.

Another vote for Jeff @ Audio Heaven. Been taking all my cars to get tint done there. About to see him again for a clear bra in the near future. His communication is also very good, answers emails the same day.
