To make sure you're getting good results I would ensure adjusting after multiple logs rather than by each log. Delete out the run data (error and count) I left in there, I only used that to test it. You may need to correct your table load axis of you're having specific issues as reducing the range to 20% will Remove data too far away from the axis values to ensure the table is accurate.

Yeah, I'm going to red a lot more data, from four logs yesterday I got about ten cells with over 5 counts. Thanks again for the help!

Probably a dumb question, but I cant seem to find the answer in this thread. once I download the Takeda Scale file, how do you open/use it to edit your rom in Romraider?
Example: running the Greddy momentum/takeda intake with a OFT trying to make a MAF scaled 91 Octane tune as well as a MAF scaled stock tune


PS- First time working on an engine without a carburetor...

this stuff is easier than carburettors :-)

have a read of romraider tip link below , romraider site has info on howxto install and use romraider.

romraider allows you to edit your rom using a definition file, which is an index into the hundreds of tables in the rom.

you need to edit the MAF scale table.

Thanks. I've read up on romraider, installed it, familiarized myself with it somewhat, loaded the correct OFT definition for their v1.59 91 octane tune for the US 6MT, loaded the stated rom, and am just trying to use the scaling for the takeda afe intake that your provided earlier in the thread, I just dont know how to open the scaling file or use it to edit the MAF scale in romraider. I plan on doing some data logging and further fine tuning due to being at sea level after I get the initial scaling (using steve99's file) done as a good starting point.
Any help is appreciated, as I'm stumped on what program to even open the scaling file with.

its a zipped excel file, unzip with winzip or similar then use microsoft excel for scaling file, then just copy/paste into romraider maf scale table

If you change tunes from V1.5x to V2.06x then make sure you use the definitions for the V2.06x tunes not the old ones from V1.5x.

Al also remove the old defs from romraider else it may use the old defs.

Using Grimmspeed intake, have the GS Stage 1 93oct tune.
I'm assuming I can't just copy the MAF table to my Stage 2 e85 tune correct? Would I have to do the scaling manually for e85?

Don't let your laziness or inability to research a pretty plain jane topic blow your engine up. The Stage 1 G/S maf scale is for fucking petrol.

Use the stock Stage 2 E85 tune with your G/S intake. The maf position and scale is 1:1.

I have a Takeda intake and I tried to do MAF scaling using the CSV file from the first post.

My LTFT was way off after doing this. (-16%)

Maybe there are different versions of the Takeda intake and they scale differently? Mine is the newer version with the longer snout and I was running without the snorkel.
