Where do you guys get your oil?

Interested in starting to do my own oil changes now as my warranty is about to expire. (I know I could have done my own and kept receipts for warranty to still be active but I played it very conservatively so Toyota would have one less excuse to not cover me for engine related issues)

I noticed Quaker State 0w-20 on sale at CT for ~$30 for 5L which seems fair but haven't heard many people use that oil in this forum.

Any thoughts or input folks? I tried searching around but I or limited results on my phone. Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

How much do you end up getting that for? Any notable differences compared to stock 0-20? Where's the shop in sauga roughly?

Thanks

I think their 0W20 (OE) is around 7 bucks a quart and their 0W20 Signature Series is about 12.

EDIT: http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produc...ne/?filters=73

If you get their preferred membership, 25 or 35 yearly. The signature series is 9.90 CAD per quart.

I have never ran any other oil, so I don't have a good comparison. But the engine ran quieter after switching out the oem fluids after break in.

I am running amsoil in engine, tranny and diff.

no complaints

I'm assuming OE is comparable to Toyota oil? Is the signature series worth the premium if the car isn't tracked? From what I've been reading a lot of these pricier oils only show their real gains in the high temp ranges seen when tracking. Otherwise they compare fairly equally with "normal" oils. Correct me if I'm wrong

I think the SS also has a lower pour point. So it might provide better protection in the winter.

I get mine right from my Toyota dealer...TGMO 0W20 is a high quality synthetic, and respected by "oil geeks". Just over $60 for a case of 12 1L bottles.

I'm using Eneos Sustina 0W-20 I get them off eBay or straight from the distributor, nothing but the best!

2nd choice would be TGMO or Subaru Idemitsu 0W-20, quite affordable from the dealer.

5.5L filled so just buy 6L of the stuff. My engine also does not burn a drop of oil.
