this is pretty damn awesome and I'm definitely leaning towards doing this, thanks...

is there anyway to make the flashes blink faster?

You could possibly talk to the company and see but the unit is sealed when you get it.

I wonder if you can do this to the rear fog light that has been custom installed...

Yes, essentially but only when you hit the brakes.

I would think that you could do this to a fog light that's been installed. It's basic wiring.

I bought the kit but I accidentally bought the one for the main brake lights. The guide works but you just need to wire the blue wires together for it to work. Otherwise the third brake light wont blink

Anyone know if this would work on the fog light (assuming that you have it modded to be a working light)?

I had the module, but got rear ended anyway LOL ! But since I was stopped for about 8 minutes before I got hit, the brake lights were solid for those minutes.

The module can be connected in various combo's (all brake lights, main only or 3rd only etc).

It is a good system for non led lights with nice bright seperate flashes.

I now use a strobe on my 4th brake light strip since it is led. On filament bulbs the strobe is hardly visible and the Kahle unit is more effective.

Kahtec

Bringing life to an old thread...

I bought and installed one of these http://www.kahtec.com for our Outback. Will be installing one of these in our BRZ this weekend.

With so many distracted, aggressive and inattentive drivers in my area, I think this device is just an additional measure to defensive driving.

I removed the OEM high mounted brake light from my BRZ and purchased an Intec high mount 3rd brake light from FT86 Speedfactory http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/inte...ight-2005.html. It is a bit pricy, but I hate the OEM unit from both a safety and astetic perspective.

On our Outback, rather than use the wire taps, I decided to solder the connections and cover with shrink tubing. I also used split loom to cover the wires to provide a finished look. Last, I used 3M double sided tape to attach the module to a panel. I'll do the same on the BRZ.

Remember folks, in Ontario a flashing brake light is illegal EXCEPT on a motorcycle.

Been flashin almost 4 years now, still waiting to be pulled over.

I think the speed tax collectors like the flash because - less rear enders, less down time for making more money (besides the lazy buggers hate the paperwork).

And yeah, the Toronto tax collectors on iron donkeys have the strobe led flashing brake light.
But they can't watch TV, work a computer, and use a microphone and cell phone like the cops in the cars.

Could you post a video of how it looks with the Intec light? I just installed mine and have been looking at this module as well. Thanks!
