The more unequal the runner lengths are, the rumblier (is that a word?) the headers will be... And the worse they will perform...

I have the OFH paired up with an HKS hi-power specl titanium catback and I would say that it has a pretty mild/average rumble but I love it!

I noticed some of you are choosing to leave your front pipe / over pipe stock. If you only change out the header and have a catback, aren't you losing out on the power gain if you leave some of the OEM exhaust part?

I have no idea, I am just asking...

Tomei UEL. Even with completely stock piping the rest of the way it stands out.

So is there any increase in HP by changing out the front & over pipe? or do those just make basically "sound" changes?

Some of the HP increase comes from removing a cat from the system and having more properly-sized and smoother tubes leading to the primary collector. The length and diameter of the tubes can be manipulated to produce different results, such as higher top end power, higher low end torque, etc... The rest of the HP increase comes from getting a tune that can make effective use of the new header.

The rest of the exhaust will get you 2-5 HP, possibly. At that point you're making changes to modify the sound, not the power.

What he said.

I made my suggestion based on the three headers you have narrowed it down to. I have no experience with the JDL UEL but have read nothing but positive things. I'm currently running Tomei UEL and a catback on a OFT tune and the results are quite nice. I will be switching to an aftermarket OP/FP combo in the near future.

If you want true low end acceleration and have the funds, I suggest forced induction!
