Im in halifax as well and being that there is only one scion dealer here I can assume you are dealing with the same dealer. You said you are going to test drive their Fr-s on thursday but they told me they aren't getting their show car until friday which will be red and is for showroom only apparently... Have they told you when they're receiving their first actual allocation im very excited for the release here. What color is yours?

Just spoke to my dealer in Ottawa. Going in tomorrow to finalize things like options and my trade-in. I already have a bill of sale, but no vin yet although I should get it tomorrow.

They are expecting the cars this week and he said that once they are here, they will release them. Only delay in doing this would be any dealer options to be installed, otherwise it is inspection, clean-up and out the door it goes. Hopefully, I can have my car for the weekend.

We get them Friday. I hear that there is gathering of cars on Merivale at the Tim Hortons. If I have mine I will be there at around 9:30pm. Like to see you there. Curious to see all the colors except white. awesome color but we have all been exposed to that for some time now LOL

Just heard from my dealership. Car is awaiting shipment in Vancouver, BUT all cars headed out from Vancouver are now stuck with the rail strike. He will give word when the car is released. Blast!

You know what the stupid thing is about this whole situation, I've got a preorder at the dealership closest to the port. They still haven't given me a VIN yet but the cars are supposed to be here "end of may" which is next week.

So if the cars are stuck, why not simply let me buy one of them. The dealership is only 5 minutes away so I dont even mind picking it up from the port.

I realize dealers are given "allocations" which may or may not be reserved. But why not swap my VIN for one of the people who are stuck waiting back east?

slightly off topic in this thread but since it's related to Canadian ETAs I'll mention it here. But I asked my dealer about the CP Railway strike and whether it will affect delivery of the BRZs in particular. He told me 2 interesting things:

1) Most BRZs are already in Toronto and just need trucks to deliver them to dealerships.
2) BRZs will not be released until June 15th

Anyone else who have spoken to their dealer recently hear that? I know dealers in Canada have been saying mid-June for a while but this is the first time I've heard about a June 15th "release date"

I was told the other day that they will be getting the Red tester on Thursday, but it may be Friday before I can test drive it. It would depend on when on Thursday they get the car.

I'm guessing I'm first on the list, I ordered in early December. The last time I was talking to the dealer, Scott I think, he said they now have a new order placed and two others looking closely. I thought he was just trying to lay the ground work for trying to get some money over MSRP.

They said the actual allocation will be arriving anywhere between late May 31st and June 15th.

I ordered an Asphalt MT.

I ordered Raven with manual tranny too! He also told me they're getting one other mt in white...but he told me white was a premium paint and cost more because its like the white sti paint or somethin maybe higher gloss white who knows white to me is white.

Im disappointed the spoiler wasnt an option...but at the same time i guess its more weight in the end

Have you read other threads mentioning car covers or something with their cars or is that first 86er only?

Looking forward to seeing our cars!

The cars are here already in Toronto but that call for the pick up is jus taking too long. I hope they release it before "launch date" June 1

The white is a pearl, so it should change color slightly under different lighting conditions.

The only things I read about the car covers was for first 86ers, and I don't think they all got them.

I will certainly give my impressions after my test drive. I can't wait. This car has been a long time coming.

Finally a red fr-s has shown its face in Dartmouth, NS today...unfortunately the dealership was taking it for its inspection when i had shown up to have a look.

The model they had was automatic, looks smaller in person than in photos...still had the plastic on the tires so i didnt get a full idea.

I wanted to hear it drive but it was somewhat heavy slow moving traffic and it was auto so i couldnt hear it over my car...

Calum did you get in for a drive? Other than it being an automatic how did you find it?
