I'd guess that there is at most 2 dozen (24) total 2015 BRZ's in all of New England. This will increase now with seasonal spring sales of RWD cars on the rise...

If Subaru doesn't discontinue, it looks like they are cutting supply, or at least not pushing unwanted allocations of BRZ's on the dealers.

Maybe Scion will come out w/ a Limited (Monogram) model to replace the brz

You should come to California. These things are popping up like weeds. I feel like I see more BRZs than FRSs.

Expected... Probably some deal is in the making between suburb and Toyota right now.

Back in the 80's the rumor was that Porsche sold 50% of all 911's in the USA in California alone.

Seriously doubt they are discontinuing this car (swear this was shot down by the President of Subaru a few months ago).

Don't believe those blog/clickbait sites. They just quote each other in an endless loop with zero official info involved anyplace in the process. The "news out of Australia" they reference was another blog that just sort of made crap up on the spot. Hell, some of them quote people's speculation from this forum as "experts" and "insiders".
Until there is an official statement made from corporate Subaru or Toyota any other site's info is dubious at best.

And that article is from June 23, 2014 so not the most up to date info.

Another Australian article dated July 8, 2014:
http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...parent-company

"Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, the president of Subaru parent company Fuji Heavy Industries, has now come out pledging that a second-generation BRZ will be launched, and that the car will be developed with Toyota as the project wouldn’t be viable if Subaru had to work alone.

"It's not going to be just one generation," Yoshinaga told Automotive News "

There were dozens of them back at that point and they were all based upon one blog that that said no more being built one week and said the turbo convertible was rolling off the assembly line the next. But people still believe them because they just write what they think people want to see.

People who work at dealerships are notorious for giving out false information. When asked a question they don't know the answer to they will make one up, instead of saying I dont know. Unless he showed you something in writing anything they say is useless hearsay.

What I'm thinking is that the 2016 BRZ doesn't appear available for allocation on the sales manager computer program. That, coupled with the fact that 2015 BRZ's can no longer be ordered.

Around this time of the year, production of the MY15 BRZ's and FR-S's are at their tail-end because usually the follow MY vehicles are released June. So it seems right to cease production and orders 2 months prior because that's usually how long it takes for an order to be completed.

Meanwhile on the NASIOC forums, potential 2015 WRX/STI owners have reported that orders for MY2015 cars are no longer being accepted to prepare for the 2016 models to roll out...just to give another example.

Bottom line is, orders for 2015 models are probably done, and 2016 orders won't be available for processing until Mid-May.

Honestly, I was kind of used to a non-linear powerband from my Supra, so I'm used to the "dip." I will say it's definitely a different feeling than the pretty heavily modified Miata my mom drives
