And brake lights are unnecessary distractions on a race car IMHO.

Ok, let me say it all together. You can disable the brake/pedal electronics by removing the brake light fuse, which will allow you to brake while having the foot on the gas at the same time. However, doing so means you have not Brake Lights. You can't run around at night without brake lights.

Not going to even respond to the race car with no brake lights comment other than you should attend some track days.
