But hey, this guy that's going to review a copy of one of those parts and maybe not even dyno it is a pillar of sainthood in the community?

Really?

And since you can't seem to understand the Rolex reference I'll try to spell it out real simple like for you. It isn't owning one that makes people better (I don't, few do). It's not being a fake-wearing douchebag that makes people better.
You clearly don't get that all you're spewing are opinions based on total speculation which I (and likely many others) couldn't give one single tiny fuck about. Thank you for pointing out that they are replicas, it was pointed out on the first page. If your ass is really so sore about a replica how about you make a thread called "Dimman's feelings on replica products" instead of wasting all of our time ranting about your views on a page which is supposed to give information on a product. At least then I wouldn't have to sift through all your bullshit to get to actual information from the person who actually bought the product

Not to say it won't take sales away from Nameless, but I'm guessing most people who buy the PLM header probably were never going to spend the money on the Nameless anyway.

It's a cheap, poorer quality version of an existing Nameless product what else do you need to know?

Does it work? And how well it performs compared to what's on the market.

Does it leak, do the welds hold up for more than a couple months, does it rot out way faster, etc, etc, etc...

A legit nameless header will outlast the car, probably twice over. Who knows how long a cheaply made knockoff will last. It's not such a good value if it only lasts a year or two.

And there it is. I was wondering how long the go-to argument would take to surface.

@Dimman

I'm a middle class man with a family. I work hard for what I have. I buy quality original non-knockoff products with various other things in my life.

I'm not looking to get my car "fine tuned" until I go forced induction. I see no need to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a header that with better quality may net me a few more HP with a custom non OTS tune.

I want a proven design, but can't justify spending over a grand on something that may not net me anything more than the cheap $400 dollar ebay header will with an OTS tune

I see this header pop-up, say WOW that looks a lot like a nameless, which is a proven header many people have.. I say WOW its like half the price..

Am I a piece of shit for wanting a good deal on something? Is it my fault that it exists? Sure you can argue its only fueled by people that will buy it.. however just about anyone.. with anything in life at somepoint or another goes for the "cheaper" option, their are plenty of "knock offs" of original products in the market. Go ahead and argue that these are different markets and companies that make millions if not billions of dollars. Who cares? Same point still applies. I'm sure you own knock offs of something.

I won't argue costs of making an original product. I may be one of the few who agrees, buying quality stainless in the US is expensive. Development time is expensive. Testing and tuning is time.. time is money. Nameless is totally justified in their price.. I just don't want to pay it.

Guess that makes me a terrible person.

Most companies that have been doing this long enough will even tell you that as much as it pisses them off, they don't let it bother them. They know they won't be able to do anything about it without pissing away to much money and realize that the people that buy them would have never spent the money on a real one anyways, and in some cases in other markets it helps drive their buisness. Someone may ask Hey what header is that.. and someone may say Oh its a PLM knockoff of a nameless header.. and that person might go well hey.. I'll spend the money on the real one.

You can get the real thing used for only a little more.

I suppose there's a glimmer of hope that this isn't an unlicensed knock off, but if it is and you buy it, you're a cheat. You're supporting thievery.

There are other ways they could have brought a header to market, maybe even at this price.

I did not steal the design. I did not ask for it to be made. Hell maybe I don't know who nameless is. I'm just some schmuck looking for a good looking header thats not to expensive.

Why am I a cheat?

You can't be mad at consumers for knock offs.

I know about 5 people that make custom original designs in various markets. Most of them have been victims of knock offs. All of them angry, however all of them understand a consumer driven market. They understand a majority of people will usually buy the cheaper versions original or not if it achieves the same outcome.. None of them hate a consumer for getting a deal. They have issues with the companies making the knock offs. The person who buys the original and sends it to those companies and says hey make me this and Ill order 200 of them..

Im sure nameless is pissed about this. I'm sure they expected it, and i'm sure while they may be somewhat bitter, they don't hate a consumer for looking for the more affordable option.

It's a replica, a knock off. They are not claiming to be nameless. They are not claiming an original design.

I'm just a consumer who saw a header somewhere for a good price.

Does anyone have a nameless header and this one to compare? to Measure?

Look at Borla and Open Flash..

They are damn near the same design.. are you gonna Knock either of these companies for stealing?

Just playing devils advocate here
