Guys Scions are SUPPOSED to come mono-spec, but the cars for the first shipments are coming with things pre-installed. Rear appliqués, wheel locks, trunk mats, exhausts, stereo upgrades, etc. Your mileage may vary, but almost every car in the Bay Area has some options pre-added already.

Love it when they make up stuff about a car and little do they know that you are in fact more knowledgable about it than they are. So you have the power to either call their BS or sit there and laugh in their stupidity.

Trunk mats, wheel lock, mud laps ect.... Anything that cheap is almost nothing on a 24K+ car. All that stuff goes to is accessories/Parts sales not to the dealers total car sales. Trust me they'd much rather have a car sold then a trunk mat. |

I get the idea..I'm just curious if anyone has tried and has something to share. If there is stuff I don't really need that is pre-install I'll tell them to take if off otherwise I'll drop my purchase if I have to pay for it, since getting this car is no biggie for me. |

If you are buying from inventory (which is what you are all talking about) they are going to throw stuff on them to jack up the price. I've walked around several Toyota/Scion dealer lots in my area, and there is not a single inventory car, especially Scions, that is pure MSRP/Stock. I'd be really surprised if the BRZ is any different. If there is an add-on that they can make money on, the manufacturer/dealer is going to throw at least some of it on every car. In my experience, if you want a pure base car, you have to place an order for a specific car and wait for it to be built and delivered to the dealer. Just my experience, YMMV. |

Same here -- for $95 bucks I figure it's no big deal, and per this thread, it actually looks like a pretty nice mat:
