I've seen one dyno and it was a vendor dyno. Did I miss the third party ones showing everyone has the dip eliminated with no tune?

PERFORMANCE (without a tune!):

Now for the best part. No more torque dip! The best comparison of the cars I've owned is that it's now more similar to the GTi. The torque is seamless and a much more pleasant driving experience. So far I've only driven back roads but accelerating out of corners and on straights is 100% improved. I didn't have the room for much WOT but when I did the power delivery was so smooth and no longer aggravating. The header won't put you in a different class power-wise but for a daily driver, this will be a fantastic mod and perfect for my needs.
This is a butt dyno. What you "feel" doesn't always mean torque dip is gone. It could be shortened, but talk to any tuner and they'll tell you the timing has to be advanced to eliminate it and that's what the header allows you to do with a full exhaust.

Thanks for posting this review. I'm still thinking about the idea of modding my FRS.

Hey fender,

Just wanted to let you know that your review is what convinced me to buy this product. I called today and was estimated a 3 month wait time, but for a product that gets such rave reviews I think it's worth the wait!

@fender9530 thinking about picking this up. How's it been treating you in the long term? Would you buy again?

I sold the car in January, but for the nearly year I had the header it was great. Looked like new when I removed it. I did have CELs frequently but wasn't bothered by it too much. I passed inspection when the light was out, including emissions. I would buy it again. I wish I would have bought it before my exhaust...definitely a better mod.

Even with the catted header, you had CELs?

Yep. I think it's fairly common. It would come and go sporadically.

I got a CEL after installing OFT, none before. But people def get them. More so if you have other mods (which someone getting a header will most likely have).

Ok, just started researching this UEL header, and this was the first mention of a CEL. Didn't realize its a known issue.

Not everyone had CEL.
I had full exhaust with this header and there was no CEL ever. So its like case by case. Someone may get CEL & others may not get CEL like me.

You can disable the CEL code though in OFT (open flash tablet) if it even does come on.
I plan to pick this header up, but in like 1 year haha, cannot wait
