Actually I parked with my rear fender parallel to it. That's also the reason why I didn't see it.. Maybe pull a stupid complain about that tree blocking my view! lol

I would argue I didn't see it cause white and silver against the grey sidewalk is difficult to see. in NJ the fire hydrants are red so that they are visible.

That's what I was thinking too. But then it's probably their city code for not being red.

That could be. But maybe pointing out a flaw may reduce or help the argument that it was a mistake easily made because of that.
