I feel like I experience higher than average fuel economy with my BRZ. I've gone through half of a tank staying above 5k rams through some canyon roads and then regular driving with the other half of the tank and still average around 30mpg.

With mostly highway driving I get between 36-40 when I keep it around 60mph, with mostly city I average around 30 consistently.

If this car got 20mpg and was this slow YOU would be the idiot. I got it for the MPGs. Otherwise I'd still be daily driving my 330HP BMW to work.

OP I'm wondering how you got such good gas mileage since I can barely get 33mpg on an all-fwy run at 70mph.

I'm going to fill up today and will try my hardest to keep it off the tach for this gas tank. Will report back.

I just filled up last night and the average was 34.something. I also paid $2.84 for 93. I;m pissed because the station down the street was $2.56.

I made 39mpg when I first got the car(had to road trip it home) took a lot of effort to get those mpgs down close to what Toyota said I should have but sure enough, with enough hard launches, I've done it.

not bad at all, you must have a lot of flat roads. no way one can get that kind of mileage out west. Best i did was 33.1 on stock tires and a long highway trip. I could of done better but then i got caught up with a couple super cars and well, the right pedal was liberally used for the last 1/3 of a tank.

do that same run at 60, you'll get closer to 38.
