you gotta keep in mind that not everyone is on the forums 24/7. it's not reasonable if you get mad at someone for not responding within 10 minutes lol.

It wasn't that.

It was in general, I just took it out on the forum lol my apologies.

And I'm sure a lot of people lurk on here frequently throughout the day/night.

I'm sending you an invoice for the time I spent reading this.

Jkjk, I do feel like things have gone down hill here.

It seems like so many "newbs" asking the same questions over and over/trolls/thread trashing/crapping in sales threads etc.

I feel bad for the admin who have to try and moderate this place haha...spam alone I hit the "report" button several times a day.

If you think this is bad, go to the 240sx forums. I have lost quite a few brain cells due to the stupidity I have read there.

Well, there is @Tcoat, me and a few others that have desk jobs and check in way too frequently, although the level of help you get from us is questionable at times, even though we try, we really do...

I don't think Tcoat does. He takes as much joy in derailing a thread as I do.

Ya actually for all the jokes I make I do try to help whenever possible. I have never once been let down when I have asked about anything. Personaly I can get PMs from many people in one day asking for info or my opinion on very diverse subjects. I don't think they would go to that trouble if they felt I wasn't going to at least try to help them. There are some questions that just don't warrant a serious answer though. My personal peeve about helping people are those that ask a question and then want to debate every single response they receive. If you already know all the answers why are you asking?

There are many of us that also consider the forum as a social outlet and just simply enjoy the company of like minded individuals. This of course can be perceived as very wrong by anybody that is looking for purely technical information. Since they pop in, want their info and pop back out again our interaction can appear very immature since they were not interested in that social activity.

As far as the whole "it used to be soooo much better 'till all these new guys showed up" thing goes that is pretty much an normal outlook from anybody that starts something new and they watch it evolve to something different. The first members of anything always feel they are superior to new ones. That is just human nature. Go back and read some of those old posts and things really are not that different than they are now. There are just more people involved.

If you pay close attention I do have some personal ground rules about that.
Leave tech threads alone unless the OP becomes a total asshat.

Do not derail a thread in any section unless the original post is absolutely ludicrous by any standard (Post a Picture of Your RPMs), the question has already been answered (if a question was asked and was not a statement made) or again if OP becomes an Asshat (The Great Bickle Debacle)

Try to help as much as possible whenever possible.

Apologize when you screw up and misunderstand something (which could result in a wrongful derailment)!

Yep. agreed. many newbs asking same questions all of the time. And other newbs answering them...lol. I mainly look on the forum for the classifieds, if anything.
