No word from Subaru about the BRZ, they don't seem to be too sure about whats going on.

That's the deposit I guess yeah.. Havnt finalized payments etc yet.. Hope to this week, they have all my info as of early last week and doing their diligence..

Mendes Motors in Ottawa. He also stated that they he does not receive another FRS until mine is delivered. Apperently for the first little while those that preordered their cars will be given them in order from earliest deposit to latest. Having read all the people on this board though it appears I can expect a phone call Thursday night to say my order is delayed. Just putting the final stage of clear coat epoxy on my garage floor tonight as final prep for the car.

Did you receive your VIN from Mendes yet? I haven't even though they're assured me that they have "located" my car.

Meanwhile, a number of folks over at Tony Graham have received their VIN's already.

Just spoke to my Scion guy and he told me that they won't release the car until the U.S. releases it which is June 1st. Can't believe I have to wait until next Friday. This is going to be the longest two weeks of my life.

I was told today that cars are expected at end of this week, nothing about holding cars.
Visiting my dealer tomorrow evening so will confirm eta.

We could not participate in the US first 86 contest. they have already been released in the states as far as I am concerned. so when their cars officially go on sale is irrelevant up here.

Why did we put our money down soooo early just to be forced to wait like everyone else when we know the cars are in Ontario and have been for a couple of days now. Bad optics for us enthusiasts who will be the best supporters of the car

seeing is believing. The commercials last week were a great start.Many people in my circle of friends are talking about the car. none of them have a clue that I have purchased one of them. would it not make sense to have 5-10 cars driving around each city in Canada before June 1 to really build momentum.

Congrats Klinn on the vin. Glad you are going through with the purchase. I wonder if Brian has his yet or not. He was the gentleman that was there with us that Thursday morning getting the lava.

Just to clarify things here. There is no release date of the FR-S !

I'm saying this because my sales rep out here in Vancouver has told me they are on sale now. They just don't have the dealership allocations yet. As soon as they get cars in, they will let us start buying them.

Now he might be blowing smoke up my ass. But you never know. I told him I have 10K in cash right now to put down on the car just to make it clear that I really do want the car.
