Looks like it IS adjustable.

If these were available in amber, I'd be all over it. Amber works better for fogs IMO. Otherwise, you're just getting wide pattern driving lights.

Yeah, so they are adjustable, which means we should be able to get them aimed properly. Nice. If they were available in amber I would buy the sh*t out of them, lol. Still might get them, because they are nice, but I was really hoping to find some yellow fogs. Hmmm...

@Diode Dynamics

Amber please! Even better if they matched the super bright amber side marker LEDs!

Well I didn't want to wait around for output pics from @Diode Dynamics. Its been over a month now and nothing on their website or on the thread, despite them being for sale.

I bit the bullet and bought the Morimoto ones. They should arrive in a few days. I'll post some info on install and output as soon as I get them installed. Might be a while, as its pretty cold outside, around -15C... and still -5C in my underground garage. If the outside temperature warms to around freezing, I'll do the install.

Looking forward to seeing the results!

Morimoto and Esuse look like exactly the same light, just different branding. Both use luxeon LEDs, both look the same from the rear too... o.O

They are the same indeed

However, you do have to be careful because there are companies selling counterfeit versions of the Esuse fog light housings

Ours use genuine Phillips Luxeon LEDs, hence the name "Luxeon LED Fog Lamps"

Alright... So I finally got around to installing my Morimoto XB LED Fogs. I am impressed.

First of all the stock fog output is almost invisible to the Morimotos...

As you can see from the picture above, the stock output dimly lights up the floor on the bottom left corner, where as the Morimotos throw the light further on the road and is MUCH brighter.

This is what the beam pattern of the fogs looks like (don't be disoriented, its shining on the ceiling)

After they are installed, here is how the output changes with respect to the driver...

This is with HIDs ONLY (Fogs turned off)

This is with HIDs and Morimoto fogs on together

The beam pattern is perfect. In the above photo, the fog light beam ends a little bit beyond the red car.

As for the colour, they are a tiny bit bluer/purpler than the stock HIDs. They perfectly match the boomerangs. From a distance, everything matches due to the prism effect of the HIDs.

I've been trying to find a solution for yellow LED fogs to get something similar to the HID look. I was looking at Diode Dynamics XML2 yellow fog, but it seems they are no longer producing them. I have now found PIAA offers a yellow LED fog with higher output than the DD XML2

I think now I will have to decide whether I go with these or just add the Laminx yellow film. Not really into the film as I like to have a clean look when the lights are off.

I had the PIAA ION yellow fogs on my old car, which were top notch. The new LED ones have a higher output. I would like the yellow color with true fog functionality and not just for looks.

I really like the Luxeon LED fogs, but it's unfortunate there are no yellow options.

We are still putting yellow XML2's into production. It has taken a bit longer than expected, but we take our time to make sure things are done correctly.

They are expected to arrive in late April

You could wrap the Luxeon housings in yellow? Unfortunately Phillips doesn't make a yellow Luxeon T LED, otherwise we would have them available

There is a 3000K Luxeon T, but 3000K on an LED is more a warm white and not an intense yellow or amber.

Cool

I found a review for the PIAA yellow LED fogs http://maxima.org/forums/7th-generat...piaa-leds.html
Looks like I will be going with these. The color and output looks amazing. From comparison to the DD XML2 1420 lumens, these have a higher output at 1800 lumens.

The picture on the left is the DD XML2 vs the right (and below) PIAA Performance LED fog.

LED Fog Lights

Anyone have any input on these Morimoto LED Bulbs?
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/mor...l#.VSjnFIZHanN

They are rated at 3000lm which seems really bright for fogs, and idk how scattered light output would be since no lens.
I was looking into DD XLM2 bulbs as well but these have higher output for cheaper. I have Morimoto HID's and they are amazing so far.

Any helps is greatly appreciated 👍

Just a note, some people are confusing lumens for brightness. "3000 lumens is bright for fogs" is sort of a silly statement.

lumens is a measure of total light output
candela is a measure of brightness

3000 lumens, considering how wide these project, is not necessarily 'too bright' for fogs.
