LED Fog Lights

Does anyone have any idea of how the OLM Vision LED Fogs compare to the Morimoto XB (Type S) LED Fogs? There's a bitprice difference between them. I've heard of Morimoto, but OLM not a brand I'm familiar with.

I've included product links below:

OLM Vision LED Fogs ($160.00):

Morimoto XB LED Fogs ($185.00):

Thanks in advance,
iLaw

This probably doesn't help, but I actually bought the XML2's from Diode Dynamics for $120, but it's just to replace the stock bulb, didn't include the housing. My BRZ already came with fogs option. Anyways, I did a review on it: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76232

Maybe you can pick up housing for less than $40?

I considered the XML2's, but for that price I prefer an LED setup that goes through proper optics and focuses the light properly. Thanks tho.

We actually offer LED housing replacements as well!

They are manufactured by the same company as the XB's and are DOT compliant

Definitely the ideal solution for the fog lights IMO

Thanks Nick. Do you have a picture of just the beam pattern of the fogs? Also, do you sell the H16 adaptor required for the BRZ? I didn't see the option to add them on the website

The picture posted above is with the fog lights on only

2012-2014 BRZ's do require the H16 adapter. If you give us a call, we can make sure it's included with your order: (314) 205-3033

HOLY CRAP those are bright! Looks like it would overpower my factory HIDs lol... I'm definitely going to order these if that is the output. Has a decent cut off too considering they are fogs.

You will see my order in March... along with some other stuff!

We will have the exact lumen measurements available when we launch our new website

These are just the initial pictures, there will be better output shots soon

My only concern is it shoots light pretty high for a fog light, doesn't it? Seems like it would blind other drivers...

edeekeos 01-08-2015 01:16 PM

I was thinking this as well. It'd be nice to see the beam shot, in reference to the lows as well.

Diode Dynamics 01-09-2015 02:25 PM

We will have more output shots available early next week. The output pattern is roughly 3' off the ground, which is exactly where it needs to be for the fog light location.

These will not create any excessive glare for other drivers, and are DOT compliant as I previously mentioned.

Thanks!

That's odd. They are definitely projecting UP in that photo, unless the car itself is on an incline. Are these adjustable on any way?

Excited to see the updated output photos and answer to Stang's question...

Here's the back of the housing, with the mounts for you to reference:

Again, we will have more pictures available as we just got them added to our inventory. As I mentioned earlier, These lamps have been tested for SAE compliance, and are DOT and ECE compliant.

The output pattern is very wide, and this picture was taken very close to the wall of our studio
