Also don't forget to use the oil and gas resistant Teflon on the fittings, as you most definitely will be getting blow by from the pcv/breather lines.

In that case, just make one service order following this link: http://www.delicioustuning.com/service_work stating that you wish to upgrade to 8.83 and we can handle that for you.

Sincerely,

Zach

When I replaced the rear fittings on mine to brass items, I just used blue plumber's teflon tape that was lying around in my garage. It's been holding up fine so far.

But if I were to do it again i'd probably go with this: http://www.permatex.com/products-2/p...sealant-detail

It says they're oil resistant.

I replaced the plastic fittings with brass ones (elbow + straight fitting). I didn't use any Teflon or thread sealant. How bad did I screw up?

I do have the issue with rpm dipping when moving from a complete stop. I've been revving to 2k+ before letting off the clutch to avoid it.

When you spray, try spraying each side of the fitting. Make sure its not leaking from the hose side.

Do like Vten did and spray the fittings down with brake clean (use electronics part cleaner if you have it, less destructive on rubber/paint) and see if the idle fluctuates when you do. If so you have a leak. You can also use ECUtek to check your fuel trims and vacuum to see any potential leaks.

Has anyone adjusted the vacuum actuator (whatever its called) on the back of the supercharger? Maybe it is just the nature of the supercharger but when starting from a stop up to about 2200 rpms the car is a little jerky. I seem to get a twitch of power after 2200-2300 rpms. Does this sound normal?

I have not adjusted mine, but I do experience what you are describing. To me it seemed more like the traction control causing it for me most of the time.

Quick question guys. Trying to replace the fittings on the back. For the life of me I can't figure out how to unscrew them. The fittings don't pass over the part of the blower that mounts to the intake manifold. Did you all just cut the bent part and unscrew the plastic fittings and screw on new straight brass fittings? If I want to put on right angle brass fittings would I need to remove the rear housing on the blower to have the space to screw them on?

Its terribly difficult to replace them without removing the elbow, but it can be done with lots of patience and swearing. When I replaced mine to brass fittings, I simply snapped off the plastic fittings (helps when the weather is cold) then unscrewed the remaining piece.

But I found it next to impossible to screw in the new 90deg barbed fittings. Instead, what I did was get 2-piece fittings to make it 90deg. If that makes sense.

And get a set of crow foot wrench....it'll help massively.
