Do you know what size tires the tS has? I'm guessing 215, but I suppose they could have gone with 225 instead.

I would go with modding what you have, especially since you've already started. My reason would be because you already have the car, so you can mod it and tweak it to be exactly how you want and enjoy it now, instead of waiting for a year or two for something that may come to the US and that you'll end up modding anyways.

I'm not too sure that the tS will be a huge game changer. I think it will be a great car and certainly very unique, but I don't know that it would be THAT much better than a tastefully modded BRZ. I would also expect most or all of the parts to be available from the dealer and other vendors if it comes stateside if you wanted to build your own personal interpretation of a BRZ tS.

That said, the way Subaru's are holding their value these days is insane and it's not such a huge penalty to sell your car and move on to a newer one.

Mostly I'm wondering if the tS will actually come here as a complete car as opposed to just coming in the form of parts in a catalog at the dealer. Who really knows yet?

As for seats, you can get great Recaros here...but no STI badge.

Here's our BRZ with heated Recaros (no airbags on these).

No airbags which means the airbag system is disabled basically, right?

I don't want to do that I also know there are issues with brake upgrades and the EBD system. Having a quality factory brake system with this car already setup correctly with the EBD would be quite nice.

Nope, can't get the tS seats... Airbags = Explosives, and require a shit ton of paperwork/signatures to import.

You can't have someone remove the airbags and ship the seats, then add in airbags stateside?

Andy, which model seat is that? Being able to replace my seat while retaining the heating feature would be awesome.

Recaro Sportster CS. Send us a PM if you're interested...there are lots of little things to get right and we've been through the process once. Not cheap though.
