Not exactly a thread-jacking...it was based off a reasonable reason why he couldn't clear his driveway in the first place. Then I just got distracted. Oh! Shiny!

I am the last person that could complain about a jacking! I just thought it was hilarious.

More or less I've been doing okay this winter.
The salt is murder but no driving issues so far. I've had my car do some weird side to side action while going through a tims drive through but generally no issues. Avoiding chunks of road snow is kind of annoying since the cars low but that's something all sports owners deal with. Today was annoying as it took awhile to get the car prepped after work.....people next to me were going ape but I scraped the ice off slowly. ![]()

I drove 3 hours from Toronto to London on Tuesday - I was trying to rush in before the school closed to get my ID...
Budgeted 3 hours (usually the drive takes 2 hrs) but the weather put a kibosh on that... That and lots of snowplow conga lines. When the fast lane opened up, I was in there driving 110-115 (didn't dare go faster) - the car handles pretty well even on unplowed (but packed down by travel) roads, but that's still not an experience I'd like to repeat. Incidentally, I don't think I'll ever get snow tires with rims that have big gaps between spokes - the snow and ice gets in and unbalances the wheels... Steelies are ugly, but they only have those tiny little holes for stuff to get into... |

This is obviously an old photo, but I wanted to share how awesome this car is in the winter.
I took this photo last year during one of many big snow falls where my office sent everyone home early. Mainly for everyone that commutes so they beat traffic. I live in same city, so I was just driving around enjoying the snow. People probably thought I was crazy and rightfully so, this car is indeed crazy fun in the winter.

toronto to cleveland in snow
we went to the rock& roll hall of fame and encountered lots of snow between Cleveland & erie. car made it through but I did need a brew or two to relax after. at least the car is predictable and corrects easily . the snowtires really do a great job as I had done it in November and it was hairy when we hit snow near erie without snow tires. that area gets way more snow than Toronto . I am actually thinking of getting another one.
