The "target time" Toyota NZ has for a "road" 86 is around 1:24. With semi-slicks, sway bars and big brakes Speedtech with their 86 is managing about 1:21.

These cars with stock engine on their first day of testing when the drivers had just been given the keys had a fastest lap time of 1:18.5. They reckon they should be able to get down to 1:15 laps.

I must admit that with my lack of driving ability, even with my fully specced TRD86 I can only do 1:28.

also we seriously need this in america, not everyone wants to drive a miata or an e30.

How come America is getting so burned on all these sick track options? That's this cars heratige and supposedly coincides with Americas. RACING darn it. Japan come on stop holding out. I thought we were cool.

New Zealand congrats that such a sweet series made it to your market. One day we'll see a bare bones track model here in the USA. I'll take a TRD GRIFFON LHD AT6. All racing row boats get paddles. At least mine did and a cation yellow paint job. All 'mericans luv da color yeller!

Yeah we get looked after down here by Toyota NZ. They throw a party every summer for Toyota owners at Hampton Downs race track.

Nice to see the twins getting the attention at the racetracks down in NZ at least the mothership back in Japan knows that the investment they made and risk they took was well worth it
