I love VW's - owned a bunch of 'em - old school Bugs to performance models. Maybe I'll buy another at some point.

All that aside... maybe I am completely alone in my opinion, but that VW is one freak'in fugly car. Sorry. Had to say it.

Maybe it's has some performance advantages, but it's just ugly.

A simple $600 tune gives the GTI 381 torque. We're trading in the TDI for the first used 4 door white DSG we come across. I can't wait.

I used to think YouTube comments were the apex of human stupidity, but that may be changing.

MY15 is DSG only. For MY16, it'll have both manual and DSG options.

Gawd, That kid better work at McDonalds with that spelling and punctuation..

Not to be an ass but your punctuation could use some work as well.
No, not at all. The post I made was more about high end TV sets and what the companies are trying to sell.

The best LCDs were full array backlit LED LCDs. Making them were expensive, so all the TV companies started to make edge lit LED LCDs instead. It gave them better profit margins, but the savings weren't passed on to the consumer. Instead you got worse picture quality at the same price, justified by adding 3D or some other gimmick.

The smart feature is quite good, but I think most people have a Game console, DVD/Bluray player, or some other device that already has all the smart features. If you need a secondary bedroom TV the smart features do make a whole lot of sense.

I actually use my smart features all the time on three different tvs. Just find it much more convenient then firing up the play station or bluray when I can just yell at the tv to do what I want.
Now the 3D and motion control and half the other gimmicks I never use but the grand sons do enjoy when they are here.

Is that how you pronounce that!? I worked with about200 Nguyens for years and never once figured out how it was said. It wasn't like they ran around saying their last names.

On a more serious note, I've given up trying to reason with people like that anymore. The average consumer has been trained to shop with a one-dimension focus. For example, the only important thing in a car is its horsepower and 0-60 specs. Another good one is how a TV is automatically good if it has 1080p display and at least 60 Hz refresh rate.
Gotta love going over twice the suggested speed on those curvy turnpike ramps

Seriously, I live in Kansas and those are the only curves my car sees besides solo autocross.

I am with you on all counts on that one!
It is funny because I once saw somebody on here from Kansas that said they found the car boring and I thought "well ya in Kansas I bet it is"

In all honesty, I still love this car despite living in KS. I can't imagine how much more fun this car is on a long winding road or mountain.
