So I got a decent bit done today. I finally honed the cylinders, then I gapped and installed the rings for cylinders 2 and 4. I ran out of time to do them today, but I have cylinders 1 and 3 ready to go tomorrow.
I did a fair amount of research on how our rings should be gapped for certain boost levels, and I decided to go with the following specs: Top ring: bore x .0055" Bottom ring: bore x .0060" I am a little on the conservative side, but I think we should be okay. I'm planning on running 18-20PSI boost. I had planned to just lap my valves in when I installed the new valve springs, but I felt that the valves weren't seating properly before the tear down. I did a leak down test on them and sure enough, 9/16 valves weren't seating properly!! So instead of just lapping them in, I'll be sending them out to my machinist for a proper valve job. Stay tuned!!

Running 6-8 psi you'll make maybe 250-275 WHP. It should be pretty reliable, 6-8 psi is not much at all. At 10psi it took heavy track use for me to start having problems!

When you had the front lip and the APR splitter did you have to do anything to install the splitter or is it adjustable for lips? Think I want to do that but not sure if anything needs to be cut...How did you like that setup when you had it? Any problems?

Installing the motor today was wishful thinking, but I have it assembled and ready to drop in first thing tomorrow. Just need to pick it off the engine stand and bolt on the clutch, then we'll be rollin! Friday is coming closer and closer but I think I'll be able to make it

Lowered. Boosted. Jdm. Its so shiny it hurts my eyes
I still don't have the motor in
![]() I ordered new spark plugs from the auto parts store yesterday, and they brought me the wrong ones today. I won't have the correct plugs until the morning, so motor won't go in until tomorrow. Thats okay though, I made some progress on other parts! Brake booster, ABS, clutch master, brake master, and fenders are all back on. Also tucked away a few wires behind the firewall while I was there! Suspension is all bolted in and ready for the alignment. Cam sensors & solenoids are on the motor along with direct injectors, rails, etc. Wiring harness is back on and plugged in. Hopefully I'll be able to install and fire the motor tomorrow, we'll see! And yes, I know that alternator pulley is installed in the wrong place. My friend tried to play a joke on me
