Mainly, the reason I was washing the car was to remove the salt.. not the dirt. Since the salt here in canada corrode and creates rust. Also, to remove the fresh dirt and grime as much as I could...
I guess its true that water spot do damage the car if you don't have filtered water. I can, wait until tomorrow I promise I will post picture

After you wash, dry, and wax (especially if you are just using traditional carnuba based wax) apply this:
![]() This stuff is simply amazing and will make your paint slick as ice. Its a polymer based solution and you simply spray on and wipe off. You car will stay clean much longer and when you go to wash it the dirt and grime will come off with minimal effort. I put that on after every single was no matter what. |

I think this is very unlikely. The paint was factory applied to the body panels before assembly. Then it was assembled in a factory in Japan, waited on a lot to be shipped to North America, waited after import for customs/etc. to get on a truck to the dealer, then sat at the dealer for a bit before you bought it. This probably took months. The paint would be fully cured by that time. You could always check the manufacturing date on the car to see how long the paint was on before you got it; it's probably listed somewhere on the driver's door frame.
