Why doesn't this light up!!!!!!

So all the button on the car light up so you can see them. Why doesn't the trunk open button not light up. I know that when you open the door you can see the button but what if you still in the car and you passenger goes to check the trunk you need to see the button to push it to open it for them but it doesn't light up.

Is there anyone to light it up?????

For the most part you won't really be touching those buttons while driving, and you can't really see the 3 past your steering wheel, so maybe they didn't think it was necessary to light them. Personally, if I need to use any of those 3 buttons they're easy enough to locate by feel. I will say that for the sake of an uniform interior it would look better with them lit, but as far as functionality goes, they work fine without lighting.

Hey, back in the day the brights were operated by a foot switch near your left foot. Same with e brake.

Our old farm truck had the brights down there... I actually prefered that setup as you never had to take your hand off the wheel!

My trunk release for my Cobalt/G5 were both located in a little fold out drawer on the bottom left of the steering wheel, right next to the door. It pissed me off because I would open the drawer up to pop open the trunk and forget to close it and hit my knee against it. And since the thing is all plastic, this was in my G5, I broke one of the tabs on it that stopped it from folding out all the way.

Oh yea, and it was somewhat hidden and not illuminated :p
