Are Tein H-Tech lowering spring good?

From what i read i know that Tein S-Tech springs blows the stock BRZ shocks. I say that tein offers a H-Tech version.

I see that they are priced at around $200 "http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=103&g clid=CMWC14GMt8QCFUkV7AodgA4AIQ"

Im only looking to lower my car not getting coilovers right now.

Just trying to see if anybody has them.. I dont want to blow up my shocks.

Those should be good. As I understand it, 3/4 to 1" is optimal for stock shocks.

A lot of people run them. I did before I got my coilovers. They're under $200 and will lower about 1" all around. Perfect for DD. I liked them.

I ran Tein S Tech in my previous cars before. I would say Hotchkis is comparable in terms of quality.

i have hotchkis springs on my car and they're awesome for a 1" drop while retaining good performance. rides slightly firmer than stock driving around town, and a bit more noticeable firmer when driving more aggressively. 1" drop for springs are great when keeping stock struts/shocks.

that said, i'm selling my set because i just got coilovers so i can go lower lol. ill sell it for $150+shipping and in its original box if you're interested. actually still on my car right now, but taking them out tomorrow.

Oh cool, i see redline360.com has them for $179, based on what i read they look good for the price.

Since you had them in the past, were there any negative effects in your handling and suspension?

No negative effect for my preference.

Now keep in mind that your OEM shocks will wear sooner with ANY aftermarket springs.

That's hard to say. Really depends on what kind of drivig you do, road surface, etc. I've heard some people have their shocks go out at 50k with stock springs.

To me, upgrading springs without upgrading your shocks/struts is a temporary mod.

Hope this helps.

I don't know where you heard that. Maybe if the owner forgot or neglected to put the bumpstops back on. I'm running Swift Sport Spec R's which are just and low and stiffer thatn the S Tech and my shocks are fine 6000 miles later and 24000 miles total.

RCE yellows were designed to work with OEM shocks. They are about a 20mm (~3/4") drop.
