Are Tein H-Tech lowering spring good?
From what i read i know that Tein S-Tech springs blows the stock BRZ shocks. I say that tein offers a H-Tech version.
I see that they are priced at around $200 "http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=103&g clid=CMWC14GMt8QCFUkV7AodgA4AIQ" Im only looking to lower my car not getting coilovers right now. Just trying to see if anybody has them.. I dont want to blow up my shocks. |
Those should be good. As I understand it, 3/4 to 1" is optimal for stock shocks.

Why not Hotchkis springs?

I ran Tein S Tech in my previous cars before. I would say Hotchkis is comparable in terms of quality. |
i have hotchkis springs on my car and they're awesome for a 1" drop while retaining good performance. rides slightly firmer than stock driving around town, and a bit more noticeable firmer when driving more aggressively. 1" drop for springs are great when keeping stock struts/shocks.
that said, i'm selling my set because i just got coilovers so i can go lower lol. ill sell it for $150+shipping and in its original box if you're interested. actually still on my car right now, but taking them out tomorrow. |

Since you had them in the past, were there any negative effects in your handling and suspension? |

Now keep in mind that your OEM shocks will wear sooner with ANY aftermarket springs. |

To me, upgrading springs without upgrading your shocks/struts is a temporary mod. Hope this helps. |

RCE yellows were designed to work with OEM shocks. They are about a 20mm (~3/4") drop.
