Enjoy your car though man, it looks brilliant.
I can honestly say I'm on the same situation.

Congrats to both of you! Hopefully my dealer won't do anything like this because I just want to do the paperwork and gtfo and drive!

Awesome pics! Looks like it was a really fun day and something you will always remember. I am really liking the white and I love that your girlfriend wanted the manual. She (the car and the girlfriend) is a keeper

We need to know if Sho is pleased with performance, likes it better than the xB, etc.???
She hasn't revved hard yet, but the shifts are so smooth, ride is on-rails, and seats are just right. Obviously they are much different cars. She didn't really take issue with the driving position, but obviously it's a change for her from driving the Scion Short Bus, so she's been trying to find the perfect "feel" between the wheel and her seat.

But yeah, she loves it and has a smile on her face whenever she gets in it.

We love what Sho did with her t-shirt -- so creative! She is the first person to customize something from bestwheelbase. Rock on with yo bad self!
Thanks. The Scion guys LOVED her shirt by the way. Seriously, I think they were more interested in that shirt than anything else about the event. Half interested in the shirt to begin with, and half interested in what other handiwork Sho could bring to spice up a tee.

Great shots on location dude, glad to have met you guys at the event!
Lol, I tried to avoid it as much as possible. They wanted me in the passenger seat when they filmed her driving off the lot, but since I wasn't in any of the other footage, I'm not sure if it would have made any sense for the whole "story" they were trying to tell. Funny how they wanted to do reshoots a bunch of times, like when we arrived or meeting the Scion guys in the dealership. Almost felt scripted...

Again, great meeting you and your friends too. There were a bunch of Scikotics members there at a later point as well - but I didn't talk to any of them. Kind of awkward...

Thanks guys, I'm new to the area, and I've been surprised by all the great photo locations (not involving neon lights).

Wow, congrats!

I got all excited when I saw this thinking that Desert Scion had a firestorm demo FRS as described in the first post. They don't, at least not anymore. They wouldn't even answer my question as to whether or not there had been one, just kept trying to tell me about how there was this contest and they had a winner and....luckily they didn't get my phone number so I won't get stalked by the stealership.

Anyway, they claim they'll have some actual cars to see June 1st.

Yeah, the Firestorm demo was there pretty much only while we were there. I'm pretty sure it was brought by the Scion corporate guys (had a Colorado plate), and then they took it with them when they were done filming.

I've heard of other potential FRS buyers experiences with Desert not being quite so satisfactory. But they did quite right by us; at first (like a lot of other dealers), they were kind of out of the loop about the whole procedure, but our salesman Paulie was spectacular, keeping us up to date better than most First 86ers. Buying experience was better than average - no hard-sell when we took the financing out of their hands, or when we told them we'd take our trade elsewhere to get a better value. Just the usual finance office shenanigans. As I've said before, perhaps they just recognized that this sale had some publicity, so they went above and beyond.

Awesome. Thanks for uploading proper resolution photos. Don't listen to anyone that says they're too big. I totally stole one for photoshopping/wallpaper purposes.
